Overnight Oats with Berries

A no-cook, make-ahead breakfast of rolled oats soaked in milk and yogurt, layered with fresh mixed berries and a drizzle of honey or maple syrup.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup milk dairy or plant-based
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup mixed fresh berries strawberries, blueberries, raspberries
  • 1 tablespoon sliced almonds for topping

Method
 

  1. In a jar or container, combine the rolled oats, milk, yogurt, chia seeds, honey, and vanilla extract. Stir well to combine.
  2. Cover and refrigerate overnight, or for at least 4 hours, until the oats have softened and absorbed the liquid.
  3. Before serving, give the oats a good stir and add a splash of milk if a thinner consistency is desired.
  4. Top with the mixed fresh berries and sliced almonds.
  5. Serve cold, straight from the fridge.
